One minor arrested after chase in apartment complex

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A minor has been arrested with multiple felonies after an alleged attempted burglary of a business, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD said on Wednesday, Dec. 4 officers were driving in the 100 block of South Academy Boulevard south of Pikes Peak Avenue when they saw an allegedly stolen car with damage. The occupants of the car turned into an apartment complex and ran from the police on foot.

One of the minor suspects was arrested after a brief foot chase, and the other occupant of the car was not found.

Police said the stolen car was involved in an attempted burglary where the car was rammed into a business in the area just before police arrived. The business suffered significant damage but they weren’t able to get inside.

The minor arrested by police is facing charges of multiple felonies and was released to a parent.
