One seriously injured in suspected speeding crash near UCCS

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after an early-morning crash near the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) on Thursday, Nov. 6.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded to a crash shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of North Nevada Avenue and Dublin Boulevard, near Pulpit Rock Park.

Initial information suggested that a car was heading southbound on Dublin at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred. The passenger of the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. CSPD said the investigation is ongoing, but speed appears to be a factor in the crash.

CSPD did not say whether the driver of the car was injured or whether they are facing any charges in connection to the crash.
