(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced there will be significant closures affecting the Sinton Trail and parts of I-25 starting Thursday, June 27.
Starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, there will be a closure of I-25 between Fillmore Street and Garden of the Gods Road. Construction will address the setting of bridge girders and other essential bridge work.
Motorists can expect southbound I-25 right and middle lanes closure near Armory Street (Mile Post 145) and W Van Buren Street (MP 144). The closure will be in place until Friday morning, June 28.
Sinton Trail visitors can expect a full closure of the trail under I-25 at Ellston Street from 7 p.m. on Thursday through the morning of Friday, June 28.
Sinton Trail and all lanes of southbound I-25 will reopen once safety inspections are complete. CDOT recommends motorists reduce speeds in work zones and plan ahead.
