Overnight closures of Marksheffel begin Monday

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Full overnight closures of Marksheffel Road on the northeast side of Colorado Springs will be in effect starting Monday, Feb. 3.

According to the City, Marksheffel Road will close to all through traffic from south of Dublin Boulevard to north of Stetson Hills Boulevard Feb. 3-5 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The City said the closures are necessary while crews place temporary concrete barriers.

Signs will guide drivers to a detour route via Peterson Road between Dublin and Stetson Hills. Local access to the Mountain Valley Preserve neighborhood (Ryker Peak Drive and Tarren Heights) will be provided from either the north or south. The City said residents should follow signs and crew instructions.

Construction on Marksheffel Road between Barnes Road and Dublin Boulevard is expected through late 2026.
