(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Tuesday, Aug. 13, Panya the giraffe celebrated her seventh birthday with the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (CMZoo) and the Children’s Hospital Colorado.
As one of the smallest-statured giraffes in the CMZoo tower, Panya is easy to spot, especially with her confident and independent personality, so guests enjoyed attending her big birthday bash, thrown by Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Parker Reppart acted as an ambassador from Children’s Hospital Colorado and got the honor of feeding Panya her special birthday cake made of fruit, veggies, and grains. “It was pretty amazing being here with everybody, and everything,” said Reppart. “The giraffes over here make it all feel better, as they’re all included.”
Visitors got the chance to make a special birthday card, visit the photo booth with giraffe photo props, color at the coloring station, and sing Panya Happy Birthday.
