(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The pedestrian killed in a crash at South Circle Drive and Janitell Road has been identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office as 38-year-old Bruce Allen Frederickson.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) on Saturday, March 9 at around 12:30 p.m., police were called to South Circle Drive and Janitell Road about a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. When police arrived they found the pedestrian, Frederickson dead on the scene.
Based on the investigation a vehicle hit the pedestrian and then collided with a second vehicle. CSPD said the driver of the vehicle identified as Larry Euenge Patrick was arrested and is facing charges of Vehicular Homicide and DUI.
According to CSPD, this is the 14th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2024. CSPD said at this time last year there were 11 fatalities.
