Phil Long honors veterans with annual giveback campaign

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Phil Long Dealerships announced on Monday, Nov. 3, that it is holding its fourth annual giveback campaign to support military members, veterans, and their families in honor of National Veterans and Military Families Month.

During November, Phil Long will donate to the Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center in the customer’s name for every vehicle sold at any of its locations. Donations can reach up to $100,000 in total.

The campaign has raised more than $250,000 for Mt. Carmel over the last three years to assist in its mission to provide veterans with accessible programs and integrated resources that empower lives.

Phil Long Ford’s founder, Mr. Phil Long, was a World War II Naval Aviator and combat hero, and past president Jay Cimino was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who established Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center in 2016. Phil Long Ford continues its long history of commitment to veteran and military families with the giveback campaign.

“Less than 1% of Americans currently serve in the military, and about 6% of our nation’s
population are veterans,” said Phil Long Dealerships’ CEO Kevin Shaughnessy. “We’re
proud to align with Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center in supporting these brave men and
women and their families who have sacrificed a great deal for our country.”
