(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Starting on Friday, Feb. 21 Pike Peak Library District (PPLD) will be adding a new stop for its Mobile Library Services (MLS) at Wilson Ranch Park.
PPLD said this is one of three parks that the MLS visits in Colorado Springs, and the new bookmobile stop will serve the Rockrimmon area. The bookmobile will be at the park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Friday.
PPLD said the park located at 2335 Allegheny Drive is a short distance from the shopping center where the former Rockrimmon Library was located. The library district also said the stop is not close to another library or any other bookmobile stops which expands PPLD’s service in that area.
“This is an incredible neighborhood park that is very busy and has a lot of space,” said PPLD Director of Branches Janina Karoub. “The vehicles we will be using are able to transport a large quantity of Library materials, so we anticipate being busy. We are also extremely excited to have secured this location and cannot wait to start hosting Rockrimmon patrons in their community.”
