Police seek public’s help in solving shooting near Bessemer Park

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is seeking information from the public after a shooting earlier this month left a man with serious injuries near Bessemer Park.

According to PPD, on Sunday, June 2 at 9:50 p.m. police were called to the 1200 block of East Orman Avenue, just north of the intersection with West Northern Avenue, after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old man with serious injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

Upon further investigation, according to PPD, detectives believe the gunshots may have come from a silver sedan that left the scene immediately after the shooting. According to police, there were also several witnesses and vehicles in the area before and after the shooting, but most of those people left the area before police arrived.

PPD is asking anyone who may have information or video related to this shooting to please call Detective Joseph Cardona at (719) 553-3385. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crimestoppers at (719) 542-STOP or visit www.pueblocrimestoppers.com.
