(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — A portion of the building on Main Street in Cañon City that partially collapsed on Tuesday, March 26, will be torn down, according to Cañon City.
The City confirmed to FOX21 News that a second engineer had determined the rear addition to the building would need to be demolished, but not the entire building.
The City said before the back addition to the building can be taken down, numerous procedures will need to be followed, including approval from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), as well as determining a contractor.
The City did not provide a timeline, and a cause of the collapse has not been announced.
