PPD: Lockdown lifted at Central High School after report of armed suspect in area

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) said Central High School was briefly locked down after a report of an armed suspect in the area on Thursday, Oct. 2.

PPD posted to social media at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, writing that police responded to a report of a man with a weapon near Central High School. The school was briefly put on lockdown, which was later lifted.

Police said officers are searching for the suspect who left the area.
