PPD seizes almost 40 illegal gambling machines

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) has seized nearly 40 illegal gambling machines from two establishments in the City of Pueblo.

According to PPD, two search warrants were executed on April 5 at local businesses suspected of operating illegal gambling operations:

Fraternal Order of the Eagles (704 Elmhurst Pace)

U Lucky Dog (2029 South Pueblo Boulevard)

During the execution of the warrant at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, PPD said 11 illegal gambling machines were found and $40,145 were recovered from the machines. Eight people were cited for electronic gambling, and PPD said reports would be forwarded for possible liquor violations based on the gambling charge and subleasing the room to a person not listed on a liquor license. 

During the search at U Lucky Dog, PPD said detectives discovered 28 illegal gambling devices, and recovered $12,097 from them. One person was cited for electronic gambling.
