(FOUNTAIN, Colo.) — According to a Facebook post, El Paso County Public Health South is temporarily closed on Wednesday, Oct. 29, due to an “emergent situation.”
El Paso County Public Health reported to FOX21 News that the building that houses Public Health South, off Highway 85, near Fontaine Boulevard in Fountain, was evacuated in the morning of Oct. 29, for a safety concern, and first responders are addressing the issue.
Public Health South will be closed for the day, and staff have temporarily relocated to the Citizens Service Center on Garden of the Gods Road, near Centennial Boulevard. According to El Paso County Public Health, the department is working to reschedule and reassign WIC appointments to minimize disruptions to service.
