(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado (HTTF) will host its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 8. This meeting will feature Carra Gilson, Data Manager for Thriving Families. She joined FOX21 Morning News Tuesday morning to talk about the organization and what she plans to discuss.
Thriving Families is a non-profit organization in Denver that serves pregnant women or those who have recently given birth across the state of Colorado. “Our mission is to empower women and their families to thrive,” said Gilson.
Gilson said the population Thriving Families serves and those at risk of human trafficking share similarities, including limited support, both socially and financially, as well as housing instability and negative experiences of love and lack of healthy relationships.
More can be learned about Thriving Families at the website above or by calling (720) 504-4624.
The Human Trafficking Task Force meetings are open to the public and free to attend. They are held every second Tuesday of the month at 5:45 p.m. at Reclaiming Hope at 615 Wooten Road, Suite 140 in Colorado Springs.
