Pueblo Airport to begin offering Denver flights

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Beginning in May, Denver Air Connection will offer 12 flights a week from the Pueblo Memorial Airport to Denver International Airport (DIA), and FOX21 News got a sneak peek of the planes that will be taking to the skies on this new route.

Using terminals with American Airlines, Delta, and United, the Denver Air Connection airline is run and operated by pilots.

Having a direct connection to Denver from Pueblo will help elevate Pueblo’s business travel opportunity, and from the tourism side, the city said it is excited to help market Pueblo with direct connections for conventions and events.

“The onboard experience is not like anything you’ve had on a scheduled airline, and even in, you know, the ultra premium cabins, we’re flying 50-seat jets. But every seat, the customer experience, we try to give a first-class experience to everybody,” said Jon Coleman, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy with Denver Air Connection. “So premium I mean, ultra premium snacks, it’s this pretty phenomenal.”

Pueblo leaders, including Mayor Heather Graham, were present for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, April 16, to celebrate the growth at the Pueblo Memorial Airport.

The 12 weekly flights between Pueblo and Denver will begin May 1, but tickets are already available for purchase.
