(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) responded to a barricaded suspect situation on Thursday evening, Aug. 29 who has since been arrested.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., PPD officers received a call of a home burglary in the 1200 block of West Street near North Elizabeth and West 11th Streets.
Upon arrival, PPD said officers removed one person from the home, and a second suspect, identified as Carlos Rivera, closed the front door on police. Officers attempted to have Rivera comply but were initially unsuccessful. However, Rivera ultimately surrendered and was taken into custody.
Rivera was arrested on warrants for failure to comply- drugs, failure to comply- community corrections, and restraining order violation. PPD said the homeowner refused to press charges against the suspects.
