Pueblo murder-suicide city’s first homicide 2025

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) said police are investigating what they are calling the first homicide in 2025 after responding to a shots fired call in the north side of Pueblo.

According to PPD, on Sunday, March 16 at around 8:30 a.m., officers got a report of shots fired within a home in the 2200 block of Inspiration Lane near Eagleridge Boulevard and Ridge Drive. Officers responded to the area and set up a perimeter.

When Pueblo SWAT arrived they entered the home and found two dead. PPD said the deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide which marks the city’s first homicide in 2025.

Information on the two dead will be released by the Pueblo County Coroner after appropriate notifications.
