Pueblo Police investigating card skimming cases

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) are looking for two people of interest in recent card skimming cases.

According to PPD, the two unidentified people are related to a series of skimming devices that were found at several 7-Eleven locations and an ATM skimmer found at the Pueblo Bank and Trust.

The skimming devices were found at the following locations in Pueblo:

327 8th Street

3522 North Elizabeth

905 Northern Avenue

926 Lake Avenue

1217 South Pueblo Boulevard

PPD wants community members to remain vigilant, and to protect yourself and your finances when making payments. PPD suggests using tap-to-pay or mobile payment options whenever possible, always checking for signs of tampering on card readers, covering your PIN when entering it, reporting any suspicious activity or questionable payment devices immediately, sign up for fraud alerts from your financial institution, and monitor your transactions regularly.
