(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) said deputies are investigating the death of a woman who was found unresponsive on Sunday, Dec. 1, in the Pueblo West area.

According to PCSO, on Sunday, at around 10 a.m. officers were called to a home in the 500 block of South Archdale Drive about an unconscious person.

When deputies arrived they started life-saving measures on a 50-year-old woman. Pueblo West Fire Department responded soon after continued life-saving measures but despite efforts from deputies and fire personnel, the woman was pronounced dead.

The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the woman and cause of death at the appropriate time, according to PCSO.

PCSO said its investigation is ongoing.
