DENVER (KDVR) — Many plans were delayed after several inches of snow fell before Thanksgiving, but the snow was right on time at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
On Wednesday, areas across Colorado received as much as over two feet of snow. This delayed hundreds of flights, caused car crashes and kept many holiday travelers stuck waiting in traffic. While this left many plans up in the air, a spokesperson for Denver Arts & Venues said one person was “at the right place at the right time.”
Kaitlyn Bouzek with the City and County of Denver Arts & Venues was photographing the snow that fell at the popular venue. While the concert season is officially over at Red Rocks, the Morrison site still allows some public access before next year’s shows kick off in March.
Bouzek said she was photographing snow when she saw the proposal. The video, which is shown in the player above, captures someone down on one knee on the seats at the venue. The video shows the couple embracing.

Bouzek said she didn’t know anything else about the couple, as she was only there to take pictures of the snow at Red Rocks.
Red Rocks posted a video of the proposal on its social media and Denver Arts posted photos of the proposal, along with the pictures Bouzek was originally there to take of snow at the venue.
