SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) – A former San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office deputy is “on the run” after law enforcement allegedly found 27 videos of child sexual abuse material in his possession, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation announced Tuesday.
An active warrant is out for Jesus Damian Nieblas’ arrest for the charges of:
One count of sexual exploitation of a child, a Class 3 felony.
11 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, a Class 4 felony.
16 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, a Class 5 felony.
27 counts of persons required to report child abuse or neglect, a misdemeanor.
CBI said there is no indication that any children in San Miguel County were victims of the alleged crimes. Nieblas, 28, resigned from the sheriff’s office on June 25 before the start of the CBI investigation. CBI served a search warrant at his Norwood home on July 10.
CBI said it believes Nieblas is not in San Miguel County.
