(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) said a semi-truck fire has closed two lanes of southbound I-25 in the early morning hours of Friday, May 17.

According to CDOT, as of 6 a.m. Friday morning, the closure is at mile point 154 between Exit 156 at Northgate and Exit 153 at Interquest Parkway north of Colorado Springs. CDOT said two right lanes are closed due to fire activity. CDOT said the fire activity was a semi-truck fire.

CDOT recommends drivers use the Northgate exit.
