(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Seven people were involved in a serious crash that closed southbound Union Boulevard on the northeast side of the city on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), southbound Union Boulevard was closed at Montebello Drive shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday due to the crash. CSFD said seven people were injured, and crews were responding to a car that had caught fire following the crash.
CSFD said crews extinguished the car fire around 3 p.m., and one lane of Union reopened at that time. However, drivers should still expect heavy delays in the area. CSFD did not specify the extent of injuries to those involved.
