(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Tutt Boulevard will be closing on Monday, June 10 for six weeks for construction.
Tutt Blvd. will be closed between Vickie Lane and Squeeze Breeze Drive, north of Dublin Boulevard, for construction that will improve traffic flow in the area.
The closure is part of a project that will widen Tutt to two lanes in each direction, with curb, gutter, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, and storm drainage improvements from Vickie Ln. northward.
The project is a Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority A-list project approved by voters in 2012. The first phase of the project was completed in 2016, from Dublin to Vickie Ln.
Motorists can keep up with the project and sign up for the project email list at ColoradoSprings.gov/TuttExtension.
The project will improve traffic flow by eliminating two nine-degree turns from Tutt to Vickie Ln. to Templeton Gap Road.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured via Black Forest Road and Wolf Ridge Drive, while traffic to and from the Church For All Nations and the residential neighborhood north of the church will use Spring Breeze Drive.
