(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Slice420 is throwing its biggest event of the year one day early — on Saturday, April 19 — since 4/20 falls on Easter Sunday. The pizzeria is keeping the tradition alive with a family-friendly celebration full of food, fun, and meaning.

Owner Christian Patriarca and GM Michael Vega-Ramos joined FOX21’s Loving Living Local to share how the event is rooted in gratitude. Inspired by Christian’s daughter Sofia, who saw life-changing relief from seizures through medical marijuana, the day is about more than just pizza.

“That’s why we celebrate,” Christian says. “It saved her life.”

All pizza slices and cannolis will be $4.20, including fan favorites like Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp Scampi, Crab Rangoon, Spicy Pickle, and the fiery Flamin’ Hot 420 Pizza. Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Moon Nugs also return — but they go fast, so pre-orders are recommended.

At both locations, the celebration runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring free activities such as a bounce house (not available at OCC), a live DJ, and face painting.
