(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs said an overnight closure is planned on South Nevada Avenue near Motor City starting Tuesday, Feb. 25.

The closure will be on S. Nevada Ave. between Brookside Street and I-25 to install new traffic signal and signage infrastructure over the roadway. The closure will be overnight Tuesday starting at 9 p.m. and runs till Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 5 a.m.

During the closure, there will be detours in place for drivers. Northbound drivers will take Brookside St. to South Tejon St. to I-25 South Connector Road to S. Nevada Ave. Southbound traffic will take I-25 North Connector Road to S. Tejon St. to Brookside St. to S. Nevada Ave.

The schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change. Drivers are encouraged to plan for additional travel time and to seek alternate routes.
