Southern Colorado woman named Army Spouse of the Year

(SPONSORED) — Kimberly Gold has been named the 2024 Armed Forces Insurance Army Spouse of the Year. Gold is currently stationed with her husband, SFC Zakaria Traore, at Fort Carson.

Gold was named Army Spouse of the Year following hundreds of nominations nationwide and a national vote. She appeared on Loving Living Local to talk about her life as a military spouse.

As the President of the Colorado Springs Black Chamber of Commerce, Gold has been instrumental in fostering economic growth and opportunities for the community. Her passionate advocacy for mental health and wellness, particularly for military families, has made a significant impact, highlighting her commitment to supporting those in need.
