(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrested two people during an investigation of a stolen vehicle.

On Wednesday, June 25, detectives with CSPD’s Motor Vehicle Theft unit located a stolen 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe on 4700 Rusina Road, near I-25 and Garden of the Gods Road. Two suspects, 24-year-old Tyler Green and 29-year-old Hope Adams, were arrested during the investigation of the stolen vehicle. Both suspects gave false names at the beginning of the investigation, but their identity was discovered by detectives.

Adams also had three outstanding warrants for her arrest, and while detained, she tried to escape custody.

According to CSPD, due to the vehicle theft, he victim’s occupational tools were not recovered.

“The loss of this equipment will likely result in future victimization to the victim and his family,” CSPD wrote.
