Student in custody after bomb threat at Explorer Elementary

(COLORDO SPRINGS) — A student was taken into custody after a bomb threat at an elementary school that was reportedly “only a prank.”

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), staff at Explorer Elementary School received a call containing a bomb threat to the school shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27.

CSPD said officers and a drone unit responded and did not find any explosives at the school. A minor suspect was contacted during the investigation and taken into custody in connection to the threat. CSPD said it is believed that the phone call was “only a prank.”
