(U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — Officials provided a sneak peek at the new Hotel Polaris that is being constructed at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA).
Hotel Polaris is adjacent to the Academy and will provide 375 guest rooms and the new 32,000 square foot Hosmer Visitor Center. The new location will provide easier access for visitors, and will serve as not only an entrance to the Academy, but also a gateway to Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region.
“Part of being in the community is being open to the community,” said Doug Price, President and CEO of Visit COS. “And so, yes, not only will people be able to get jobs here, but it’s wonderful that just, such a great hotel that people can come in and enjoy the food and beverage, they can do banquets here. There will be people that, on football game weekends, will want to come and stay.”
Hotel Polaris is expected to open sometime in November.
