(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said a third alarm had been called for an apartment fire in the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 30.

According to CSFD, on Friday at around 6:15 a.m. firefighters were on the scene of a structure fire in the 3800 block of Radiant Drive near North Academy Boulevard and Maizeland Road.

Fire crews on the scene reported a heavy fire coming from the second floor of the apartment building. At around 6:30 a.m. a third alarm had been called.
