Two injured in motorcycle crash downtown, one critical

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Two people were injured on Sunday evening, July 27, when the driver of a motorcycle lost control while taking a turn at the intersection of North Weber Street and East Platte Avenue, tipping the motorcycle, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD reported that around 7:15 p.m., when officers arrived at the scene, they found that the motorcyclist had been turning left from westbound Platte to go south on Weber when the driver lost control.

No other vehicles were involved. The driver and the passenger were both injured and taken to the hospital. The driver was listed as being in critical condition, though the passenger was reported to be stable. CSPD reported that no helmets were used at the time of the crash. No arrests were made, and the investigation is ongoing.
