(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two suspects after officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) saw items inside the car consistent with narcotics use.
According to CSPD, officers pulled over a driver who they said failed to use a turn signal at 2:20 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 in the 4400 block of Austin Bluffs Parkway, just south of the intersection with Barnes Road.
When officers contacted the driver, they saw items inside the car that were consistent with narcotics use. Upon further investigation, police said they recovered over 190 grams of methamphetamine, U.S. currency, cocaine, and additional items consistent with narcotic sales.
The investigation also resulted in the arrest of two suspects, identified as; 54-year-old Kerry Miller and 36-year-old Amber Arnavat. Both were arrested on felony narcotics charges, including distribution before they were booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
