(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The National Governing Body for the sport of pickleball, USA Pickleball, is holding its first Golden Ticket tournament between Wednesday, July 9, and Sunday, July 13.
According to USA Pickleball, Golden Ticket tournaments provide a path for amateur players to participate in the USA Pickleball National Championships happening in November in San Diego. As featured tournaments, where bracket winners earn priority registration access to National, Golden Tickets offer participants an opportunity to compete at some of the best pickleball venues across the country.
“As the home to so many important and impactful sports organizations, it was a no-brainer to bring the country’s fastest-growing sport to Colorado Springs,” said Mike Nealy, CEO of USA Pickleball. “The city has done an incredible job bringing world-class facilities and high-caliber tournaments to its residents, and we look forward to welcoming athletes from all over the region aiming for the national stage.”
Entry fees for the Golden Ticket Tournament are $125 per player plus event fees.
