(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 101 is hosting the “Soldiers for Soldiers Show” on Friday, July 18, featuring music and karaoke entertainment, to raise money for a new air conditioning (AC) unit for the VFW post.

The evening will start at 3 p.m. with karaoke, followed by a performance by MissE & LD, singers who have fronted national show bands and the Army Show, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and concluding with a DJ starting at 9 p.m. During the Karaoke contest, everyone who sings and donates a minimum of $20 will receive two tickets for a raffle to win a new Denon Sound Bar and Sub system.

According to the VFW, Post 101’s old AC died, and proceeds from tickets sold will go towards a replacement. Tickets cost $20 each, and the Post needs 50 tickets sold to fund the AC replacement.

The event takes place at the VFW Post 101 location at 702 South Tejon Street.
