(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) and Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) are at the scene of a water main break that has closed an intersection in a residential neighborhood in central Colorado Springs.

CSPD Communications posted on X (formally known as Twitter) at around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 that the water main break was at the intersection of Cheerful Road and Oro Blanco Drive, a few blocks north of North Carefree Circle.

CSPD Communications is asking drivers to avoid the area.
