(WESTCLIFFE, Colo.) — The Sangres Art Guild in Westcliffe, Colorado is holding a reception on July 6, 2024, where visitors can enjoy beautiful original artworks, wine, and hors d’oeuvres.
The show is called July’s a Poppin’ and will feature the work of some of Colorado’s best artists. The open-themed show will be judged by nature-inspired artist Joseph Cawlfield. First place will win $150, and second place will win $100.
“Growing up in Colorado helped meld my connection to nature and landscape painting at an early age,” Cawlfield said. “While not limited to painting nature’s beauty solely in landscape form, I get excited about painting from many sources: still life; figures; florals; beloved pets, and architecture. “
Doors open at 11 a.m. and the wine and hors d’oeuvres reception will begin at 4 p.m. and go until 6 p.m. Artist Alicia Waugh will give a free demo during the reception.
The reception and show will be held at 3rd Street Gallery in Westcliffe, CO at 59000 N. Hwy 69. The exhibit will run through July 27.
