What we know about missing Woodland Park teen, Elijah Reese

(WOODLAND PARK, Colo.) — The Woodland Park Police Department (WPPD) continues to search for a developmentally disabled 17-year-old, who went missing in July.

FOX21 News reached out to police on Thursday, Aug. 1 to get an update on the investigation and the missing boy, Elijah Reese. Elijah is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, stands 5’8″ tall, and weighs 160 pounds. He is possibly wearing dark clothing.

When did Elijah go missing?

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sent out a developmental disabilities alert on July 24 after Elijah went missing. According to the CBI, the teen was last seen in the 1400 block of Kings Crown Road, just east of Woodland Park, around 4:30 a.m. that day.

What car is he driving?

CBI asked the community to keep an eye out for a white 2017 Honda Pilot that Elijah may be driving with Colorado license plate CVTC46. On Monday, July 29, CBI sent an update on the search and said the vehicle’s plates may have been switched to Texas plate, JRV9357.

Where was Elijah’s car last seen?

According to WPPD, law enforcement believes his car was last spotted, (based on video surveillance), on July 24 at 10:24 a.m. in Chama, New Mexico. They added that the car was seen going south on US 64. 

How can the community help?

The CBI is asking the community to be on the lookout for a white Honda Pilot with either of the license plates listed above.

Elijah is intellectually disabled and the CBI said there is concern for his safety. If you see him, call 911, your local law enforcement agency, or the Woodland Park Police Department at (719) 687-9262.
