DENVER (KDVR) — Earlier this year, the Denver Broncos unveiled new primary uniforms and some throwback “Orange Crush” threads that will be spotted in a few games. In less than a week, fans can purchase the 1970s uniforms.
The Broncos unveiled their new uniforms in April, a design that has barely changed in over 20 years. The new threads are known as “The Mile High Collection,” with three new looks in Sunset Orange, Summit White and Midnight Navy.
While a video dropped showing many players admiring the new look, many Broncos fans were disappointed in the jerseys and were hoping for the “Orange Crush” uniforms from the 1970s and 80s.
That disappointment didn’t last long, as the team released the “throwback closet” 30 minutes after the primary uniforms. Now, almost four months after the unveiling, those throwback jerseys will soon be available to purchase.
The Broncos announced that in honor of “Throwback Day” at training camp, the jerseys will be available for purchase on Saturday, Aug. 3.
Fans can purchase the throwback jerseys and other merchandise at the training camp on Saturday. It will also be available at the team’s store in Empower Field at 10 a.m. on Saturday, as well as online.
The Broncos said the team will first wear the jerseys against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5 when Denver welcomes back members of the 1977 Super Bowl team.
The team plans to honor Randy Gradishar’s Hall of Fame induction and officially induct Steve Foley and Riley Odoms into the Ring of Fame during the alumni weekend festivities.
