(WOODLAND PARK, Colo.) — The 32nd annual Veterans Rally and the 37th annual POW/MIA Recognition Ride will be held in Woodland Park on Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17.
The event will have a remembrance ceremony in Memorial Park with Task Force Curahee joining for their 20th Reunion. Three bronze plaques will be dedicated to Roy Chester Box U.S. Army Veteran and co-founder of POW/MIA Recognition Ride/Salute to American Veterans Rally, Gerald “Jay” Cimino, and Task Force Currahee.
On Saturday morning starting at Woodland Park High School, there will be the POW/MIA Recognition Ride, a police escorted procession going to Cripple Creek on Highways 24 and 67.
Rally attendees can also expect vendors, live music, a beer garden, a silent auction, a Veterans Signature Wall, and guest speakers. The event is free and open to the public, organizers said the event is family-friendly as well.
