(CUSTER COUNTY, Colo.) — The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and emergency crews had an interesting call on Monday, June 30, and now want to share the unfortunate — but somewhat delicious — incident with the community.
The Sheriff’s Office and emergency crews responded to a semi truck rollover crash south of Westcliffe on Monday night. There were no injuries.
The trailer contained frozen hot dogs and other frozen products; the company could no longer sell the product and was willing to share it with the community.
Emergency crews transported the product to the Custer School and the Alta store to keep it frozen overnight.
Starting at 9 a.m., families can pick up the groceries at the school. Food distribution will be on the west parking lot of the school, and families may bring two reusable bags.
