Highway 69 closed in both directions due to semi rollover

(COLORADO) — The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), emergency crews, and Colorado State Patrol are all responding to a rollover near Hillside.

On Tuesday, July 1, crews were responding to a semi truck rollover near Hillside. CCSO reported the crash at around 10:44 a.m.

According to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), there are no reports of injuries at this time. However, Highway 69 between County Road 243 and County Road 28A is closed in both directions.

Per CSP, the truck that rolled over was carrying hazardous materials. At this time, it is not known what type of material it was carrying, and HAZMAT is on its way to the crash.

A set detour has not been announced, but the public is asked to seek alternate routes.
