(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said crews knocked down a car fire inside the garage of a home on Colorado Springs’ west side on Wednesday, March 6.
CSFD posted about the fire shortly after 2 p.m. and said the fire was at a home in the 1200 block of Golden Hills Road, south of Rockrimmon west of I-25.
CSFD said the fire was knocked down shortly before 2:45 p.m.
Crews remain on scene to watch for hotspots. CSFD said the fire was knocked down quickly enough that there was no movement into the home, and the residents will be able to return once crews clear.
CSFD said it is working to remove the car from the garage to allow it to cool. One person was treated and released on scene for smoke inhalation.
