(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Saturday, March 15, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in a neighborhood near East Platte Avenue and North Murray Boulevard that resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old man.

According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the 500 block of Lionstone Drive around 11 a.m. on Saturday, they were able to see partway inside the home, and the circumstances prompted them to force entry to get the victim to safety.

Police took 19-year-old Giovanni Arcos into custody and, according to CSPD, he was charged with multiple charges, including attempted murder. Detectives from the Domestic Violence/ Adult Sexual Assault unit took over the investigation.
