(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department is looking for anyone who may have more information about a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 15.

At around 2 a.m. on Saturday, the CSPD Downtown Area Response Team (DART) was observing bar closing activities when they heard several shots coming from a parking lot at 100 E. Pikes Peak Ave, near Tejon Street and Nevada Avenue.

According to witnesses, a fight had broken out between two men, and one pulled out a handgun and fired several shots at the victim before running away. The victim was found later and had suffered a wound to the hand.

Officers are following up on suspect information. Anyone who may have more information about the shooting is asked to contact the police department at 719-444-7000.
