(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) confirmed an arrest from a domestic violence alert they received on Sunday, Sept. 14.
Around 7 a.m. on Sept. 14, CSPD officers were sent out in response to a possible domestic violence and menacing call from the 7600 Block of Ochre View, near the intersection of East Woomen Road and Marksheffel Road.
Upon arrival at the home, police evacuated everyone, including the victim, but the primary suspect barricaded himself inside the house. Officers with CSPD’s Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) were called to the situation, on reports from those on the scene that the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Nickolas Jones, possibly had a gun.
TEU eventually found Jones hiding inside the house and brought him into custody without incident. His advisement hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15 at 1:30 p.m.
