(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) released the identity of a man who was found dead in his car on Wooten Road, just south of Platte Avenue, on Thursday, Sept. 25.
According to CSPD, around midnight on Sept. 25, officers located a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Wooten. Initial reports indicated that the man was slumped over in his car, but when officers approached, they realized that the man was dead.
On Monday, Sept. 29, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy and identified the deceased man as 36-year-old Emanuel Montoya. The coroner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death; however, this is being investigated as a homicide.
