(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), a person was trapped inside a car as a result of a crash east of Platte and Academy.

CSFD said its crews had freed the person, and two people had been treated. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

Eastbound lanes of East Platte Avenue are closed due to a crash at North Academy Boulevard, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD posted about the crash just before 6 p.m. on Friday, March 29.
