(FLORISSANT, Colo.) — Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument said starting on Monday, Feb. 24 the national monument will be closed for two days a week.

Florissant Fossil Beds said the closure is a result of low staffing. The Monument will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays indefinitely. There will be no access to the visitor center, trailhead parking or public restrooms.

The monument remains open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
