(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Ever wondered what happens when the flavors of Malaysian shophouses and the streets of Thailand come together? Visit the Malaysian Thai Kitchen in Colorado Springs, where these flavors are blended into a tasty, one-of-a-kind experience.
This week, Krista Witiak from Loving Living Local visits Malaysian Thai Kitchen on FOX21 Foodie Finds.
Chris Bunyaraksh, Co-Owner of the restaurant, describes their goal perfectly: “We just want to have that playfulness inside your mouth and to raise very interesting tastes for the customers who want to try it out.” And they definitely deliver—whether you’re into spicy, savory, or sweet—you’ll find something to love here.
The menu offers a variety of dishes including; Hainanese Chicken Rice, Chicken Curry Laksa, and Pang Curry. If you’re a barbecue fan, the restaurant also has BBQ Pork Rice. Chris and his team can help guide you through the menu as well.
“As soon as guests walk in, I like to ask them about their mood for the day—whether they’re craving noodles, rice, stir-fries, or soup. Based on their preferences, like if they’re in the mood for noodles and want to try Malaysian cuisine, I’d recommend starting with the Chicken Curry Laksa,” said Chris.
Even though the location is under new ownership, the feedback has been great. “We’ve been open for not too long, but the response has been pretty well,” he adds.
Reflecting on the positive reception, Chris shares, “I really enjoy cooking for my friends, family, and everyone around me. Just come and enjoy our cuisine here at Malaysian Thai Kitchen.”
It’s worth stopping by to see what all the buzz is about—you might find your new favorite place to eat.
